Famous Skunks.

Pepe Le Pew.

Pepe le Pew

Possibly one of the most famous skunks of all time is Pepe le Pew, a cartoon creation by Chuck Jones for Warner Brothers and voiced by the late great Mel Blanc and . First produced in 1945, in 'Odorable Kitty', Pepe (originally called Stinky) was a love struck Skunk, who had fallen for, and pursues a male cat who had disguised himself as a skunk with a judicious application of white paint and Limburger cheese. His character evolved as did the target of his desires, who became Penelope, a black cat who through a number of ways ends up sporting a white stripe along her back leading Pepe to belive she is a skunk.

Since then he has gone on to become an Academy Award winner and his last outing on the screen was in 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action' a live-action-animation hybrid made in 2003.
